At the Department of Chemical Engineering, we bring the chemistry from laboratory scale into industrial production. Our strength is high international expertise - both in experiential and computational knowledge.
The department has the main responsibility for research-based education of master students in chemical engineering in Norway and is organized in four research groups:

Laboratories and technical services
The Department of Chemical Engineering has several laboratories, which are maintained by a qualified staff of group engineers, and we have high focus on HSE in all our activities.

Purchasing/ordering, receiving and sending gods and mail
ALL orders should be ordered through NTNU's ordering system, and will be ordered by our local purchasers at IKP. The purchaser will need a cost center (K-sted) and a project number, to be able to place an order.

IKP routines for ordering:
- Equipment - Prior to ordering: Fill out this checklist to map the scope of your purchase (Checklist in English/Norsk sjekkliste)
- Equipment - Purchasing: Equipment should be ordered through NTNU's ordering system. (For purchases of more than 100.000 NOK a tender process is required - please contact the local purchasers at IKP.
- Chemicals have to be ordered from companies with framework agreements. Link to form to be filled out and please contact local purchasers at IKP.
- Computer and electronic equipment: Please contact Mikael Hammer
- Coffee and tea for the kitchens at IKP: Please contact local purchasers at IKP
- Office stationery and supplies: Please contact Thao Tran Røvik

Buildings, parking, and el-cars
The Department of Chemical Engineering is mainly located in Chemistry buildings 4 and 5, the Chemistry halls and the Fiber-building at Gløshaugen NTNU.

Travel
All travel activity at NTNU must be done with environmental considerations.
All business-related travels should be arranged through NTNU's travel agency, Berg-Hansen.
