Purpose of the award

The award for language shall be a recognition of work that has contributed to developing the linguistic competence of students and staff. A language award will help to show good examples and measures, motivate and create better awareness of language work, and also help to increase understanding and interest in good language.

Criteria for receiving the award

The language award can go to individual employees, the professional environment or groups that have made a noticeable effort for good language at NTNU, in line with the language policy guidelines and requirements set by Språklova. Emphasis will be placed on visibility, systematicity, good results and work for the collective. The award can recognize work of both a formal and informal nature within different languages and target forms.

It should not be an appreciation for long and faithful service.

The assessment must be based on results achieved in the last two to three years. The proposal must be substantiated with a document of up to two pages.
