  • All websites under the www.ntnu.no domain.
  • Your student email.' (Link for students)

But you will not have access to:

  • It's Learning.
  • Other web domains.

Yuo can still use the computer lab computers on campus and have full access to the internet.

Email from NTNU IT Security

When a user is quarantined from the NTNU network they will receive and email with case number, reason for the quarantine, how long the quarantine will last and what actions the user has to take to remove the block.

For example if you are quarantined due to a botnet virus detected on your computer, the email address and subject line will look as follows:

The email will come from the email address: "Orakeltjenesten" orakel@ntnu.no

A typical subject line will look like this: Re: (Sak 731292) Botnet (studby)

If you need help or more information please reply to the email so NTNU IT Security can assist you. In addition you can call Orakle Support Services (see Contact) but note that Orakle Services does not have the amount of information that NTNU IT Security does and may not be able to help you. Please have the case number from the email you received ready when calling so that our service desk employees can help you as efficiently as possible.

NTNU users will be blocked when there has been a breach of the NTNU IT Security policies or a virus/botnet has been detected from a computer.
