NTNU's agreement with Avis allows you to rent passenger cars and commercial vehicles at Avis locations all over Norway’s depots. The agreement applies for both short-term and long-term rental, and is valid for all NTNU-employees on official traveling duty.

All bookings must be clarified with your leader. Students can only book through a local purchaser or a project leader.

Reservation of rental car

You can book your rental car directly from the provider or through the travel agency, Berg-Hansen.

When booking, enter the requisition number that you receive from your local purchaser. If you do not have the requisition number, you must state the cost centre (requires login to Innsida).

• Book a rental car with credit card. Settled after the tenancy (in Norwegian).
• Book a rental car with EHF Invoice (in Norwegian).

Note: When leasing from Trondheim, pick "utleiestasjon: Trondheim Varebiler".

Booking outside of the webpage, deliver the agreement number: W349804 for credit card or customer number: 9ZN23T for EHF invoice.

Rates and conduct of agreement

You can get an overview of the prices by contacting Berg-Hansen or Avis. The rates include the following rights:

• Mandatory third-party insurance
• Collision damage waiver (CDW) and theft protection (TP)
• Extra driver, unlimited driving distance and VAT

For those who frequently travel, you may want to join the loyalty program Avis Preferred (in Norwegian).

The agreement does not cover:

• Personal accident insurance (PAI).
• Airport taxes, winter service fees and fuel.

To avoid fuel charges, we recommend refilling the tank before delivery of the rental car. There are under no circumstances allowed to use the rental car agreement for privately use.

Before and after travel

Remember to check for damage both before and after use. It is recommended to use a mobile camera to document the condition of the car.

Note: Driver's license on App is not accepted at check-out of the rental car.
