General information

Examination checklist
Before the examination
- Check the examination overview and fill in necessary information (e.g. external examiner and appeals commission)
- Approval is registered in Fagpersonweb 10 working days before the exam (internal deadline ISL).
- NB: Courses with 100 or more students: you will receive the approval list no later than 3 weeks before the exam. Submission deadline is 10 working days before the exam (internal deadline ISL)
- Upload the examination paper in Inspera, home examination and/or written examination
- All examinations must have an updated cover page, use the cover page templates.
- Remember to include both a Bokmål and a Nynorsk version of the cover page and examination paper.
- Send the examiner guide to ISL-eksamen@hf.ntnu.no or upload it directly in Inspera AND publish in Blackboard after the grades have been made available. The examiner guide is available in the common area: T:\hf\isl\Alle ansatte\Undervisning\Kvalitetssikring av utdanning\Sensurveiledning
- Examination papers must be uploaded no later than 10 weekdays before the examination date.
Guidelines for oral examinations (incl. digital oral examinations)
During the examination
- Examination rooms will be assigned three days before the examination. You will find a list under examination information on the course page
- The lecturer/replacement must be available via telephone for the duration of the examination. Presence of teaching staff
After the examination
- Submissions are available in Inspera immediately after the examination ends. Note: If SCANTRON/hand-drawn illustrations are used, there may be some delay in uploads
- For digital examinations, you have several options for grading in Inspera
- Check for plagiarism
- Do you suspect cheating? Notify your examination coordinator
Examination results
- Examination results must be ready within 3 weeks. See the examination overview for the date.

Tips and reminders
- The recommended browsers for using Inspera are Google Chrome and Firefox
- In case of significant grade adjustment after appeal, the institution must conduct an additional evaluation of whether the assessment was completed in accordance with the adopted guidelines. This applies in cases where the grade after reassessment is adjusted by two or more grades.
- Students may request an explanation when the new grade is made available after reassessment.
