What is Research Catalogue?

Research Catalogue (RC) is a non-commercial, multimedia platform for artistic research and activities. With more than 30,000 registered users and 35 institutional partners, the RC is currently the most widely used digital platform for this purpose. RC supports integrated presentations of audio, images, video and text, and facilitates sharing and collaboration. The platform also has peer-review functionality, which means that the platform can be used for journals, applications, student submissions and more.

RC allows institutions to create portals with content that is publically available and internal portals with access control. At NTNU, the public portal is primarily used to document and showcase artistic research and work, while the internal portals are used for teaching and student submission at the departments.

Create a user and log in

Employees and students at NTNU use Feide login when creating a user and logging in to RC. If you have previously created a user, switch to Feide login from now on.

Using Research catalogue

Individual users

RC can be used for a variety of purposes, from mapping and documentation to publishing and dissemination. In order to make and publish your own content you need to upgrade to full user. This is done by accepting the terms of use from your profile page.

Portals and departments

A portal allows institutions to organize, display, and share artistic research and work in a dedicated section within the Research Catalogue. See more info about what a portal is and how it works. At NTNU we have an official, public portal as well as several internal portals with access control at the departmental level.
