When you write a message on Innsida, you can easily add a video via the player icon in the text editor.

You can add video via the player icon in the text editor.

• Insert video URL using → General option panel — for YouTube and Vimeo
• Insert embed code using → Include option panel — for Panopto

Do not try to adjust the Width and Height manually. Follow the steps below to ensure your video will automatically be formatted as a full-width, responsive video with a required caption.

Insert the video URL for YouTube and Vimeo

1. Copy the video's URL from YouTube or Vimeo sharing option
2. Add it to your message by clicking the option in the format bar
3. Paste the URL into the Source field on the General options panel
4. Thereafter, click Embed and replace "undefined" with a more descriptive caption
5. Click Save

Insert the embed code from Panopto:

Embedding the video is the only option that will work for Panopto videos, due to the peculiarities of Panopto share URLs.

1. Retrieve the embed code from Panopto - see How to Retrieve embed code from Panopto (In Norwegian) .
2. Add it to your message by clicking the option in the format bar
3. Click Embed and paste the embed code snippet into the field provided
4. Then paste the following into your iframe embed code from step 1: class="w-full aspect-video"
   Example: <iframe class="w-full aspect-video"src="https://ntnu.icloud.panopto.eu/ ...
5. Click Save
