OpenVPN is a virtual private network system that implements techniques to create secure point-to-point or site-to-site connections in routed or bridged configurations and remote access facilities. It implements both client and server applications.

The OpenVPN open source project is free to use if you keep to the software license agreement, but the commercial OpenVPN Access Server product sold by OpenVPN Inc. is not free.

License information

Free software: OpenVPN open source-prosject is free, but not OpenVPN Access Server. OpenVPN is available on Windows, Mac, Android. iOS 6, Linux and BSD.

Used by some units at NTNU, but Cisco Anyconnect VPN is standard at NTNU.
