Software information

Git is a version control system to handle everything from small to large project. It is characterized by being distributed and not folder hierarchy bases. Git has its own commands (pull and push) for synchronization with other repositories. This enables all-to-all synchronization (not just all-to-one, as in CVS and SVN).

License information

Free: Gimp is supported on Win, Mac and Linux/Unix.

Used by some faculties at NTNU.
