AutoCAD is an application software for 2D and 3D data-assisted design (CAD) available as a desktop application, as well as a mobile web and cloud based application (AutoCAD 360).

License information

Free software: AutoCAD is licensed free of charge for qualified students and teachers, with an 18-month renewable license.

Used by Used at several faculties at NTNU, among others Faculty of Architecture and Design.

Note that the program can only be used for academic work and not for commercial work.
