Software information

Aimsun is traffic modelling software that allows you to model anything from a single bus lane to an entire region. Traffic control centres use Aimsun Live (formerly Aimsun Online) to make real-time decisions about the management of a road network. It is used to dynamically forecast future traffic conditions based on the current state of the network and to evaluate incident response or traffic management strategies.

License information

Volume license: Access limited and needs-tested volume agreement for a Dept./Faculty. Classroom licenses via license server.

Used by The IV-faculty (Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering). Contact the IT responsible at the Dept. for details.

Note that the program can only be used for academic work and not for commercial work.
