Software information

microdata.no is a service developed in collaboration between Norsk senter for forskningsdata (NSD) and Statistisk sentralbyrå (SSB). The service is operated and further developed in collaboration between NSD and SSB, and gives researchers at NTNU access to use register data from SSB.

• Researchers and students can process and analyse all available register variables.
• Data is available on the population, education, income, the labour market and welfare benefits.
• Institutions that have signed an agreement can manage their own users.
• The solution has an anonymisation interface with embedded privacy protection.

License information

Volume license: Available only to employees and students from the master's degree level.

Used by several units at NTNU.

Note that the program can only be used for research - not for income-generating contract research.
