About the seminar

This seminar will adress various topics relevant to all supervisors, regardless of faculty or department affiliation. Participants are expected to actively engage in group discussions and share reflections and experiences from their own supervisory practice.

Objective

The objective is to obtain knowledge, tools, and reflection related to different topics relevant to the supervisor role:

  • NTNU- Ph.D. programme Regulations and framework
  • pedagogical perspectives on supervision
  • mobility and working across cultures
  • research ethics in supervision
  • open science
  • psychosocial issues in the candidate's everyday life

Contributors: Different contributors at NTNU will present during the seminar.

Expected outcom

After completing the seminar, participants will have increased awareness and understanding of their role as supervisors and doctoral candidates. Participants should use this knowledge to create the best conditions for effective guidance for the PhD candidate.

Participants will receive a course certificate for attending both seminar days.
