Pedagogical merit - for students

Information about your role as a student in NTNU's scheme of excellent teaching practioners.

An excellent teacher practitioner is someone who has clear focus on students' learning and uses an exploratory approach to develop his teaching practice. The teacher attaches importance to planning, implementing, assessing and adapting the teaching in order for it to best support the students' learning outcomes.

An excellent teacher practitioner shall be a formalized scheme aimed at developing a collegial and professional teaching and learning culture that values exploratory development work related to teaching higher education.

The merit scheme at NTNU will be a supplement to already existing measures to promote quality of education in the organization.

Students are represented in peer review

When announced in 2024, a group of peer reviewers consists of merited teachers and a student representative (Appointed by the Student Council).

The student representative who will participate in the peer review process.

Courses for students

Students who will participate in the peer review process will be offered courses and training in the autumn 2024.
