Software information

FEDEM, an acronym for Finite Element Dynamics in Elastic Mechanisms, provides both a technology platform and an engineering framework for virtual testing of complex mechanical assemblies. It provides a complete set of features to create, solve and post-process a model in a 3D graphical environment.

FEDEM is often used for modeling and dynamic simulations, including strength and fatigue assessments in the areas of "oil and gas", "marine systems", "mechanical industry" and "renewable energy".

License information

Volume license: Access limited and needs-tested volume agreement for a Dept./Faculty. Via license server. Available to all students and employees.

Used by The IV-faculty (Department of Structural Engineering). Contact the IT responsible at the Dept. for details.

Note that the program can only be used for academic work and not for commercial work.
