BrowZine - Create your own journal library
The NTNU University Library provides you with smart tools to find and stay updated on academic literature. With BrowZine, you can keep track of your favorite journals, while LibKey Nomad helps you get quick access to scholarly article - directly from your browser searches.
BrowZine and LibKey are available to students and staff at NTNU, as well as employees at St. Olavs Hospital.

BrowZine
With BrowZine it is easy to stay up to date within your field. You can:
- Create personalized journal collections
- Keep track of new issues of your favorite journals
- Save and download articles as PDFs
- Send references to tools like Endnote and Zotero
- Share articles via email and social medias
To access NTNU´s electronic journals, you must be connected to the NTNU network, the St. Olavs network, or use a VPN. You will retain access to all journals and articles the library subscribes to in BrowZine for up to 90 days after your last login within the NTNU network or VPN.
- The service is integrated with Oria, making it easy to find and read articles directly from the search results.
- BrowZine is available both on PC and Mac, and as a mobile/tablet app.
LibKey Nomad
LibKey Nomad is a browser extension that provides instant access to full-text articles and e-books that NTNU University Library subscribes to - directly from your browser searches.
The extension is available for Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Brave and Vivaldi.
How to use LibKey Nomad:
- Install the extension in your browser.
- Select "NTNU - Norwegian University of Science and Technology" as your organization.
- Log in with your Feide account.
Once installed, LibKey Nomad will display access indicators on relevant websites such as PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar, Amazon and Wikipedia.
Access to Articles and E-books
When you search for academic literature in databases, available articles will be marked with a blue button showing the NTNU logo:
- "Download PDF": Click this button to download the article directly. It may appear either below the article description or in the bottom left corner.
For e-books, you will see:
- "View E-book": Click here to open and read the e-book.
Other buttons:
- "Access Options": This will redirect you to our search tool Oria, where you can find access options or request the document.
- "Article Link": This button takes you to an external site, where you can usually download the article.
Importing references
You can import references into reference management tools like EndNote, Zotero, BibTeX, or as a Ris file. On the blue button, you will see a graduation cap icon - click on it to choose the format you want. Once selected, the reference will be downloaded.
