Access Card
Before starting the practice period, you must have a St. Olav's Hospital ID card.
All new students must book an appointment for the St. Olav's card themselves. This is done in the customer portal of St. Olavs Operational Services: Order for ID card - new students. Select the option marked with (NTNU) and use Feide login. Important: You must be connected to an NTNU network to get access.
Fill in the information and upload a photo as an attachment. The customer center pre-produces the ID cards, and you will be notified by email when and where you can pick them up. Remember to bring valid identification when picking up your St. Olav's card.
Practice at Brøset: ID cards are activated locally at Brøset.
This access card is your ID card on the hospital grounds and must be kept safe. It should only be used/shown on the hospital's and faculty's premises.
Lost Access Card
If you lose your access card, you must immediately report it to the Customer Center so that the card is blocked, either by phone (735) 53 000 or email: kundesenter@driftsservice.no
Contact the study consultant at your education to book an appointment for a new ID card.
Data Access
Data access will be ordered from the unit where you will have your practice. Data access on your ID card must be activated at the Customer Center before starting your practice, if you have not done this before.
Most students going out in practice will need access to the Health Platform. Remember valid identification, such as a passport or national ID card.
If you already have a St. Olav's card and only need to add data access, you must also book an appointment for data access activation through the study administration/study consultant.
Changing Rooms
In the basement of each center, there are changing rooms. It is marked which ones are student changing rooms. Students must bring their own lock for the locker. Once you have found a locker, it is important to label it with your name, department, and the length of the practice period.
Then you must register the locker in the changing room system in the customer portal of St. Olav's Operational Services: Self-service portal (helse-midt.no)
Remember that you must be connected to an NTNU network to gain access.
Here you can order, extend, and terminate changing room lockers. This is available to all NTNU employees/students who have a connection to Øya. Remember to enter the end date, which is the end of the practice period. If you have questions or problems accessing the self-service portal, contact: kundesenter@driftsservice.no
Work Clothes
Work clothes are retrieved from lockers located near the changing rooms. The lockers are unlocked with you card. The attire is equipped with a chip that registers when they are taken out of the locker. Therefore, it is important that you only take out clothing for yourself.
Make sure to close/lock the locker when you are finished. Equally important is that used attire is returned to the marked machines at the end of the shift. There is a limit on the number of items you can take out. If you exceed this limit, you will receive a reminder email.
After the Practice Period
After the practice period, the lockers must be cleared, and the lock removed. Hospital clothes should not be left in the changing room.
Locks are cut open, and lockers are emptied one week after the end of the semester each spring.
