Software information

PyMOL is a molecular visualization system from Schrödinger Inc. PyMOL can produce high-quality 3D images of small molecules and biological macromolecules, such as proteins. The Py part of the software's name refers to the program having been written in the programming language Python. PyMOL interprets over 30 different file formats and its own format is supported on Windows, Mac, Linux, and iPad. With AxPyMOL users can insert fully interactive molecular data into their presentations.

License information

Single User License: You can use PyMOL on MS Windows, MacOS, Linux and iPad.

Used by Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (Department of Clinical and Molecular Medicine). Contact an IT responsible at the Faculty for details.

Note that the program can only be used for academic work and not for commercial work.
