Search and Find

Oria

Is a search engine where you can search through most of what the NTNU University Library has to offer; books, articles, journals, music, films and electronic resources, etc.

Search in Oria

Search the NTNU University Library’s collection or choose Norwegian Academic Libraries if you can’t find what you are searching for in our collection.

You must log in to Oria in order to request or see your loans.

An overview of some of Oria’s functions can be found here (video in Norwegian):

Google Scholar

Google Scholar is Google’s search engine for academic literature. You can find articles, dissertations, summaries patents and etc in Google Scholar.

The NTNU University Library’s digital collection is available to students and employees of NTNU via Google Scholar.

Subject blogs

The NTNU University Library has its own subject pages and blogs for many of the subject areas taught and researched at NTNU. They contain, among other things, links to special subject resources, websites, tools and an overview of relevant databases.

Go to subject pages and blogs for your subject area.

Who is responsible for your subject? See under “About us” or “Contact” on your subject area page.

Please note that some of the subject pages and blogs are in Norwegian.

Link to the database list

NTNU buys access to a whole range of databases where you will find, among other things, articles, books and conference proceedings within your subject area. Some databases are subject-specific, while others are more general and interdisciplinary databases. You can find more information in the database list in Oria.

Courses and guidance

The NTNU University Library offers courses and guidance, for example in literature search. You can also get help at our help desk or book a personal guidance session.

We recommend PhD on track for our PhD students.

Other resources

The NTNU University Library has many resources you can use if you need help with your literature search. We have made videos on searching in different databases. You will find those on YouTube. We also have our own resource for searching within health science, where you will find, among other things, the layouts of different forms (e.g., PICO) and search in medical databases, STEG. You will find STEG on Blackboard. We also have a open web resource for systematic search, Systemlit.
