Exchange students at NTNU who, for pressing reasons, have been unable to take one or more exams at their home university, can apply to the NTNU Examinations Office to complete these exams at NTNU. This also applies to NTNU students who have returned from exchange abroad.

Conditions

Before applying, you must have approval from the institution in question that you can take these exams at NTNU. Be aware of any holidays etc. in the country – NTNU must be able to reach the course coordinator/contact person for the exam shortly before, and during, the exam day.

Remote exams can be completed on business days (Monday-Friday) in the periods January 8th to February 28th and August 21st to September 30th, between 09:00 and 19:00 Norwegian time. Applications for remote exams should be sent in well in advance, and no later than 10 business days before the exam date.

Only written exams can be done as remote exams at NTNU. It is not possible to apply for oral exams.

Applications are processed continuously, and you will receive and answer as soon as possible.
