What is AppsAnywhere?

AppsAnywhere gives you access to NTNU's software on your devices. NTNU-managed devices must use Software Center to access NTNU's software.

Using the AppsAnywhere portal software is collected in one place, accessible on any device: Windows, macOS, and anything else equipped with an updated web browser as a minimum.

Using AppsAnywhere in the web browser

If you are not a Mac or Windows user, you always have access to AppsAnywhere via your browser. In this case no installation is required on your device.

Installing AppsAnywhere on Mac and PC

Entering https://apps.ntnu.no/ for the first time a "client" will be installed on your Windows PC or Mac. Once installed, this will provide tight integration between the portal and your machine. Apps started in the portal appear as locally installed. Local clipboard, print and files and similar work the same way as in your locally installed applications.

In addition, Windows applications from the portal will run as locally installed on your PC without manual downloads or installations, and can be started on the PC even without the portal.
