Salary review - Kunnskapsbasen
Salary review
According to the Main Collective Agreement in the State, the employer must offer employees an annual meeting to discuss competence, responsibilities, salary, and career development, in line with the local wage policy.
Norsk: Lønnssamtale
These meetings should contribute to gender pay equality and help prevent discrimination. Upon returning from parental leave, the employee must be offered a meeting to discuss competence, responsibilities, salary, and career development.
Goals and expectations
During the meeting, managers should inform the employee about the unit’s and organization’s goals and challenges. You will also learn what is expected of you and what the organization’s salary policy is. You may express your own expectations in this context.
Not a salary negotiation
The meeting is not a salary negotiation. The existing negotiation system in the Main Collective Agreement remains unchanged, but the meeting helps ensure that local negotiations are based on better knowledge of each employee.
Timing of the meeting
Your manager decides when the meeting will take place. It can be held in connection with the regular performance review.
